REALTOR® Association of the Fox Valley or RAFV as it is called by its members is an organization of over 1,800 REALTORS® and Business Partners located in Geneva, IL.  When the Coronavirus pandemic broke out and the state was shut down, RAFV decided there was something they could do to help. RAFV worked with local restaurants to provide nearly 320 meals to hospital workers at 4 local hospitals: Northwestern Delnor Hospital in Geneva, Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin, Amita Mercy Hospital and Rush Copley Hospital both in Aurora.

“As REALTORS®, we’ve always been a big part of the communities in which we do business.  What better way to help our community during this Coronavirus pandemic than to provide nourishment to those fighting on the front lines in our hospitals,” says Paul Kempa, RAFV President.

“We wanted to help our hospitals as well as our small businesses and this was the perfect solution,” said Kempa.

Northwestern Delnor workers enjoyed meals from Just Kabobs in St. Charles on Friday April 23rd.  Just Kabobs provided 75 kabob plates at a discounted rate for RAFV.   Reuland Food Service in Aurora is preparing 142 box lunches at a discounted rate on RAFV’s behalf for workers at both Aurora hospitals and is also a part of the “Feeding The Frontlines” initiative: https://www.feedingthefrontline.com.  And, Billy Brick’s Wood Fired Pizza in Elgin provided sandwiches, pizza, salad and cookies to feed 100 workers fighting COVID-19 at Advocate Sherman Hospital on Monday April 27th.  Billy Brick’s currently has a promotion called Feed the Front Lines where people can order meals for first responders and hospital workers for $10 each.  Billy Bricks will match each of these meals ordered.
