What Do I Need To Bring To My Zoom On-boarding Appointment?

Only a few items are needed for your on-boarding meeting:

  • Your attention. There are a number of details that are presented and your attention is appreciated to ensure we are efficient with your time.
  • A form of payment. We accept credit or debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and AmEx), as well as check and money order.
What Should I Know Before My On-boarding Appointment?

We will guide you through this process. Please ensure you speak with your Designated Managing Broker about the SentriLock® app prior to the meeting is beneficial. You should know prior to the meeting if you will use the SentriLock® app, or if you will not incorporate the app at this time. If you will be using the SentriLock® app, you will be asked to complete an additional form and pay the additional $150 annual fee for SentriLock®. This annual fee cannot be pro-rated.

How Do I Get A SentriLock Card And Lockboxes?

Any REALTOR® or Appraiser member can stop by the RAFV office to pick up a SentriLock card. Pricing is pro-rated throughout the year. Only the Designated REALTOR®/Managing Broker of an office can get lockboxes. Lockboxes are loaned to the offices based on an algorithm factoring the office’s number of listings, sales, and active agents over the past 12 months.

How Long Should I Plan For My On-boarding Call?

We pride ourselves on strong customer service at RAFV. Plan on 45 minutes for your initial call, where you'll receive our full attention and be introduced to a wealth of information about RAFV and the industry.

How Do I Transfer To RAFV From Another Association?

If you are transferring from another association, ensure you have requested a Letter of Good Standing from your previous association. This will be required to join RAFV. The letter should provide us with your: NRDS ID #, local join date, and the date of your New Member Orientation completion. Our Member Experience Coordinator will determine if you need to re-take orientation with RAFV, as well as help you to determine your transfer fees.

Do I Need To Contact RAFV If I Am Already A RAFV Member And Transferring Offices?

If you are transferring internally and already belong to another RAFV office, we simply require you to submit one of the following to us via email:

  • A 45-day permit or printout or screen image from IDFPR showing the new Managing Broker (DR) has accepted sponsorship of the agent
  • Completed Internal Transfer Form
  • $25 fee is required to initiate the internal transfer, as explained on the Transfer Form
Do I Have To Join The Association Closest To Me?

All Illinois REALTOR® associations are assigned an approximate geographic jurisdiction. RAFV honors NAR's Board of Choice policy, which allows you to join any local association in Illinois as long as your managing broker is also a member there. For any specific questions related to your REALTOR® membership, please speak to your managing broker. You can also find more general information about membership on the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) website.

The primary board of affiliation elected by a REALTOR® must be in the state where the REALTOR® is licensed and maintains his/her principal place of business. Licensees affiliated with a REALTOR® firm may choose as their “primary” board any board in the state where the firm maintains a “Designated” REALTOR®.

How Do I Pay My Dues?

Monthly dues payments may be made online by debit or credit card – we accept, VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. Simply go to RAFV.realtor and log in in under My Account. Payments made by check/money order should be dropped off at the office or sent by mail (please be sure your name and MLS ID are on the check). You may pay for multiple months by check. Why Is The Invoice For My SentriLock® Card From Heartland Organization of REALTORS®?

Heartland Organization of REALTORS® (HOR) is the local association to our North – their office is in Crystal Lake. RAFV has an agreement with HOR which allows our members to obtain SentriLock® through them.

Where Do I Find My NRDS Number?

Your NRDS number is your conduit to all things REALTOR®. This nine-digit number can be easily found:

  • When you log in to your RAFV account (RAFV.realtor), your NRDS number is directly above your name
  • On the Address label of your REALTOR® magazine, immediately above your name.
What Is The MRED Helpdesk Phone Number?

Where Do I Find Contracts And Forms?

You must log in to your online account to access the RAFV forms and contracts. Once logged in, click on Resources on the left vertical navigation.

How Do I Sign Up For CE Classes Offered By RAFV?

RAFV offers a variety of classes both in-person and remote. Visit our calendar for all our classes and events. From there, you can simply log in to your account to sign up for any event or class.

I Am Unable To Attend CE Classes During The Day. What Are My Options?

Illinois REALTORS® offers a number of online courses. These can be accessed directly from the Illinois REALTORS® website.

Where Can I Find The CE Classes I Have Completed?

You can see the history of any CE classes taken on the Illinois REALTORS® site and on the Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Reporting site.
